New fleXipod feature: Automated SMS delivery notifications

Our developers recently extended the customer notification functionality within the fleXipod ePOD system to give you more flexibility. In addition to sending automated job report emails upon job completion you can now send automated SMS notifications to end customers at predefined trigger points. The content of the SMS message is configurable and can include custom details such as driver name, customer name and estimated time of arrival.

Timing of SMS notifications can also be configured to suit your business requirements based on the following trigger points:

Estimated Time of Arrival – Send individual SMS messages to customers when the mobile worker is x minutes or x miles away from the job (based on the latest GPS information from the device and planned travel times).

Advance Notification – Send messages to groups of customers at a set time. For example, delivery reminders at 7pm the night before delivery.
